Hizzy — Terms of Service
1. What Hizzy Is
Hizzy is a mobile app that makes finding a home feel like swiping through matches. Renters browse listings based on criteria such as location, budget, and amenities. When someone swipes right on a listing, they can view more details and contact the lister.
Hizzy is a pure search-and-connection platform. Hizzy does not participate in, facilitate, or take any commission from negotiations, lease agreements, or financial transactions between renters and listers. Hizzy does not provide real estate, legal, or financial advice, and does not assist in negotiating any rental terms. Any rental terms, agreements, or payments are strictly between you and the other party.
2. Accounts
You sign in with your email address via a magic link, or with your Apple or Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You must be at least 18 years old to use Hizzy.
3. For Renters
Searching and swiping on Hizzy is free, and always will be. When you swipe right on a listing, it is saved to your matches, where you can view additional photos, details, floorplans (when provided), and message the lister through in-app chat. Hizzy never charges renters for any usage of the app.
4. For Listers
A lister is anyone who posts a place on Hizzy, whether a property owner, a tenant, or a real estate professional. Hizzy's pricing model for listers may change over time, and listings may be offered free of charge during certain periods (such as an initial launch period). Where fees apply, they will be described in the app at the time. Listers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including photos, descriptions, pricing, and availability.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Harass, abuse, or spam other users
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute listing data
- Use Hizzy for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent Hizzy's payment systems, where applicable
6. Content
Listers retain ownership of the photos and content they upload. By uploading content to Hizzy, you grant Hizzy a non-exclusive license to display that content within the app for the purpose of operating the service.
Hizzy may remove any content that violates these terms or that we believe to be fraudulent, misleading, or inappropriate.
7. Termination
Hizzy may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by contacting support.
8. Disclaimers
Hizzy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Hizzy does not verify the accuracy of listings and is not responsible for the actions of renters, listers, or property owners. Hizzy is not a party to any rental agreement and does not provide real estate, legal, or financial advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hizzy's liability is limited to the amount you paid to Hizzy in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Hizzy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
